LiN CLOVER - SLUMBER
Reviewed By: Gollum
LiN CLOVER’s album slumber is a compilation of songs from their first 3 albums, all picked by the band itself. The album gives you a good feel for the bands style and talent. Their music is a bit softer than a lot of the music I usually listen to, but I still found myself really enjoying the cd. Now, don’t get me wrong, the music may be soft as opposed to the high energy, pounding beats some artists use, but the music tends to have a very dark feel to it.

The cd in general was very good. I really enjoyed the songs at the beginning and end. The songs toward the middle blended together a bit for me, but I think that was mostly because they were so close together in tone and style. I also tend to expect an album to have a few songs that I don’t enjoy as much as the rest, so it really wasn’t that big a deal in my mind.

Overall I thought that this album was a good introduction to LiN CLOVER. This album may not be perfect for everyone, as their style is not automatically something any music fan would like, but if you like darker rock then you should definitely consider picking up this album. If you want to get a feel for their style so that you can decide if it is something you would like, you can hear some of their music on their myspace page at http://www.myspace.com/linclover.
